Spring at Cool Kids Campaign is one of our busiest fundraising periods, essential to our ability to offer 100% free programs to our ‘cool kids.’ We have an ambitious event schedule and need YOUR help to make it possible! Email Kristian for more info.

The Valleybrook Country Club selected the Cool Kids Campaign is the charity recipient for their annual Duck Derby! Volunteers are needed between 4pm – 9pm on Friday, July 12th. If you can help but need to arrive late or can’t stay the whole time please email kristian@coolkidscampaign.org. Volunteers are asked to be 15 or older.

Graphic Design

From the annual report to Baltimore Magazine Ad’s, there is always something making us wish we were better at Adobe Photoshop and Indesign. Graphic designers – please consider volunteering your time and talent! Many projects are small in scale but could make a huge impact for us. Students looking to expand their portfolios while helping a great cause are welcome! Email Kristian if you’re interested in helping!

Development Internships

We seek college students (or recent alumni) for non-paid internships in our Towson, Maryland office. With a full-time staff of only three, and one part-time staff member, we are B-U-S-Y! Interns will be immersed in many aspects of running a non-profit organization. We will accept one intern each semester (fall, spring, summer). Download a detailed intern job description here.

Web Design

Experienced with WordPress? We wish for the Cool Kids Campaign Web site to be constantly evolving, which involves editing and writing content. You can help:

  • The next big upgrade for the website will be for the hundreds of hospitals we work with to be able to log-in and update their contact information (helpful for Care Packages and Connection Newspaper). We need experienced coders to set up SQL / Database tables and a user back end system.
  • Set-up automatically generated tax receipts so the staff don’t have to email them by hand

Salesforce

We have been accepted into the Salesforce for Nonprofits program. Do you have experience working with the Salesforce platform? Database administrators or developers are needed to get this project underway. Email Kristian if you’re interested in helping! Note: even a strong background in Excel and an ability to work methodically and accurately would help move this project forward.

IT / Network Support

We have a growing IT need here at the foundation, and a list of internal projects we would like to see completed to strengthen our internal network. If you have an IT background, we can certainly put it to use!

Google Adwords Account Help

We were accepted into the Google Grants for Nonprofits program and are receiving a free credit of $10,000 each month in sponsored search results. (Try it Google “Cool Kids Campaign and you’ll see our ad pop up on the right). This could be a great source of exposure for the foundation, but we know there are many tricks that professionals use to optimize the use of ad word dollars. If you have experience managing Google Ad Word accounts, or are familiar with this service in general, we would like your feedback on how to best utilize this great resource.
