Lutherville Running Festival
This is the biggest area for which we need help. Please visit our Lutherville Running Festival page for a list of jobs both before and during race day!
Development Internships
We seek college students (or recent alumni) for non-paid internships in our Towson, Maryland office. With a full-time staff of only three, we are busy! Interns will be immersed in many aspects of running a non-profit organization. We will accept one intern each semester (fall, spring, summer). A detailed intern job description can be downloaded here.
Fundraising Events
There are constant events looming on our calendar and we sure can use extra pairs of hands! Looking to volunteer for a few hours? A complete list of events is available here.
Web Design
Experience with WordPress. We wish for the Cool Kids Campaign Web site to be constantly evolving, which involves editing and writing content. You can help:
- Set up photo and video galleries
- Use Web-based live auction software. We often receive donated items, especially sports memorabilia. We need assistance in setting up online bidding opportunities during silent auctions.
- The next big upgrade for the website will be for the hundreds of hospitals we work with to be able to log-in and update their contact information (helpful for Care Packages and Connection Newspaper). We need experienced coders to set up SQL / Database tables and a user back end system.
- Set-up automatically generated tax receipts so the staff don’t have to email them by hand
IT / Network Support
We have a growing IT need here at the foundation, and a list of internal projects we would like to see completed to strengthen our internal network. If you have an IT background, we can certainly put it to use!
Google Adwords Account Help
We were accepted into the Google Grants for Nonprofits program and are receiving a free credit of $10,000 each month in sponsored search results. (Try it … Google “Cool Kids Campaign” and you’ll see our ad pop up on the right). This could be a great source of exposure for the foundation, but we know there are many tricks that professionals use to optimize the use of ad word dollars. If you have experience managing Google Ad Word accounts, or are familiar with this service in general, we would like your feedback on how to best utilize this great resource.
